Sex in the Ancient World from A - Z

Sex in the Ancient World from A to Z - John Younger Had some interesting information, but the way it was presented made for tedious reading. If you were using it as a reference book to look up names or terms it would probably be handy. It is not something that is fun to read cover to cover.

The Evolution of Human Intellect: Discover the Information that Schools and Religions Aren't Yet Teaching

The Evolution of Human Intellect: Discover the Information that Schools and Religions Aren't Yet Teaching - L.N. Smith I was given a free copy of this book by the author.

With all due respect to the author of this book, who was kind enough to give me a copy, I found the device of the Disneyland ride both bewildering and irritating. I didn't understand what it had to do with what the author was trying to convey, and it was irritating enough to keep me from finishing the book, an occurrence that rarely happens.

I had high hopes for this book. If the author ever rewrites it as a straightforward laying out of his points I would be happy to try it again. As it is I felt like this was one of those books written for children on a subject that the writer feels they just won't understand.

Alice in Wonderland and the World Trade Center Disaster

Alice in Wonderland and the World Trade Center Disaster - David Icke David Icke seems to think that saying "evidence exists" and then repeating the point you are trying to prove constitutes actual evidence. The same thing almost kept me from finishing The Biggest Secret, it did keep me from finishing this book. Besides, I sincerely doubt a conspiracy of the scope he describes could operate secretly for 2 weeks, much less for thousands of years. From what he describes thousands if not millions of people would have to be actively participating. The guy is either a crank or is putting out dis-information.

Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot

Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot - Bill O'Reilly, Martin Dugard Better written than I expected and a pretty enjoyable book, even though I still have issues with the lone gunman story that this book doesn't even attempt to address.

I Met the Walrus: How One Day with John Lennon Changed My Life Forever

I Met the Walrus: How One Day with John Lennon Changed My Life Forever - Jerry Levitan It was nice to read a book about John that showed him in a positive light. It's kind of rough when you have a hero worship thing going on with someone and every book you read makes him out to be the biggest monster since Hitler. He wrote All You Need Is Love, he couldn't have been all that bad.

The Lennon Prophecy: A New Examination of the Death Clues of The Beatles

The Lennon Prophecy: A New Examination of the Death Clues of the Beatles - Joseph Niezgoda This has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. The stretches made to try to prove Lennon sold his soul. The misuse of words the author obviously didn't know the meaning of (for instance describing Satan as maliciously benevolent. The crazy interpretations of lyrics. The only reason to read this book is for a good laugh at the author's expense. It was so bad that it prompted my first review on this site.

Dune

Dune - Frank Herbert My favorite sci-fi novel. Epic on a scale you normally only get in fantasy novels. I don't even know what to say about this book that hasn't been said a million times. In my opinion one of the best books I have ever read.

No One Here Gets Out Alive

No One Here Gets Out Alive - Danny Sugarman, Jerry Hopkins The first book I read about Jim Morrison and still my favorite. It was because of this book that I read Jack Kerouac, and got into poetry, and started looking into Andy Warhol and the Velvet Underground. Sure its a sanitized version of his life, but I still like this book.
